The INDIBA System
The therapeutic effects of diathermy have been well-known since the 19th Century and their principal indication were inflammatory processes, generally accompanied by pain.
The methods used faced numerous problems in obtaining a controlled and harmless deep temperature increase, and in some instances required “invasive” techniques.
INDIBA has introduced a “non-invasive” system based on raising the internal temperature at a localised area by circulating high frequency currents through the tissue being treated. The INDIBA System obtains all the advantages of a deep temperature increase, without any of the disadvantages of previous methods.
The current is applied using mobile electrodes connected to a generator unit. Two application techniques can be used, depending on the type of electrodes used: Capacitive Electric Transfer (CAP) and Resistive Electric Transfer (RES)
The INDIBA System provides a number of therapeutic and physiological effects.
